Barbara White is the founder and President of Integrated Business and Consulting Services (IBCS). She is a Certified Public Accountant and received a Bachelor of Science degree from DePaul University in Chicago. Ms. White is also a Notary Public in the State of Illinois. She is a broad-gauged professional with strong background and experience in fiscal management, business operations, strategic planning, and preparing workable budgets. Ms. White has a strong work ethic and can develop innovative solutions consistent with established policies, procedures and controls. She has earned the trust of her clients throughout the years and the long-term relationships she has maintained, are a testament to her work, as she seeks to understand client’s unique situations with empathy and professionalism.
Ms. White has provided senior-level fiscal management and accounting services to small and mid-sized public and private companies to support and facilitate the needs of CEO’s and Boards. Her specialty is serving the nonprofit sector. During the years her work has added value in excess of cost, and have quickly produced tangible results and structured proven processes. She is most proud of her success in assisting CEO’s with fiscal management and reporting to their Boards.
Prior to forming IBCS, Ms. White was the Vice President of Finance for a nonprofit organization, and in that capacity her responsibilities included oversight of grants management, financial reporting, contract compliance, and budgets. Analysis of agency and divisional operations including designing and implementing internal control systems was also an integral part of her responsibilities. Ms. White has served in various accounting, consulting and auditing capacities with public and private companies.
Ms. White was born in Kingston, Jamaica and migrated to the United States during the 1970’s. Over the years, she lived in Connecticut, New York and Maryland and currently resides in Chicago, Illinois. She enjoys dining out with members of her Birthday club, and when not glued to her computer, she spends time reading, cooking, weight training, watching old movies on Netflix and perfecting her backhand.
